The Low Voltage Power Factor Correction Capacitor Bank cabinet raises the power factor cosφ (cosine phi) and thereby reduces the resistance power (none-work power), saving electrical cost. The users will pay less or won’t pay at all the fine for resistance power according to the Electricity regulations.

Product Description

Power Factor Correction Capacitor Bank cabinets can be used for electrical systems that use loads with high inductivity by using Contactor to change the number of compensating capacitors in operation – this changing process can be controlled manually or automatically. When operating automatically, the control system for the capacitors of the cabinet automatically recognizes the amount of power to compensate to send switching signals to the capacitors to integrate into the power grid system. There are 4 – 14 steps and each step switches capacitors using Contactor.

            The operating principle of the Power Factor Correction Capacitor Bank cabinet is measuring the offset between voltage and current cycles to see whether that is smaller than the programmed value (usually 0.95) to automatically switches the compensating capacitors until the required parameter is met and maintains the power factor around the programmed value.

            The Power Factor Correction Capacitor Bank cabinets can be installed indoor or outdoor and can be combined with main distribution cabinets MSB or be installed independently.

  • Install PFC Capacitor Bank cabinets at the low voltage busbar of substations.
  • Install PFC Capacitor Bank cabinets at power switchboards.
  • Install PFC Capacitor Bank cabinets at loads (large motors)
